Beauty Bees
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 27, 2026
These terms apply to every appointment booked with Beauty Bees, a mobile beauty service in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. When you book, you agree to them. Our technicians come into your space, so many of these terms are about keeping the visit safe and respectful for everyone.
1. Booking
- Book online, by phone or by text. Your appointment is confirmed when you receive our confirmation.
- Give us the correct address, unit number, buzzer code and any parking or access details. The appointment time is when your technician starts, not when she leaves for your place.
- The minimum for a home visit is $90 plus GST, so your services need to add up to at least that. There is no travel fee: we do not charge for travel time or travel costs. Prices and any deposit are shown when you book. Services are only offered within our service area.
- For a first visit, we may ask you to confirm your details by phone, add a card on file or pay a deposit before we confirm.
- Appointments are for private homes and offices. Hotel rooms, short-term rentals, vehicles and events need our approval before booking.
- The person who booked must be at the address for the whole visit. Please tell us when you book if other adults, children or pets will be home.
2. Your space
Please have ready, at the start time:
- A clean, well-lit, safe place to work: a table and chair (or sofa for pedicures) and a power outlet nearby.
- Pets secured in another room for the whole visit.
- No smoking, vaping, alcohol or drug use in the room during the appointment.
- Any firearms or weapons stored away, out of sight.
- No hazards in the work area, such as pests, mould, exposed wiring or aggressive animals.
- Safe access: clear walkways, working lights, and parking or a place to stop nearby. Paid parking or access fees, if any, are the client's responsibility.
If the space is not safe or suitable, your technician may adjust the service, or end the visit. If that happens, the appointment is treated as a late cancellation.
3. Respect and safety for our technicians
Our technicians work alone in clients' homes and offices. Their safety comes first, always.
- We have zero tolerance for harassment, abuse, threats, sexual comments or advances, discrimination, or any behaviour that makes a technician feel unsafe or uncomfortable. This applies to you and to everyone present during the visit.
- Your technician may refuse to start, stop at any point, or leave an appointment if she feels unsafe or uncomfortable, or if anyone present is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She does not need to explain her reasons at the time.
- If an appointment ends because of conduct by you or someone present, the full price of the booked services is charged and no refund is given. We may also refuse future bookings.
- No one may photograph, film or record a technician without her permission. If you have home security cameras, please let us know when you book; cameras in the work area should not record audio.
- Your technician may keep the door of the room open, and may come with a colleague or assistant.
- Your technician checks in with Beauty Bees when she arrives and when she leaves. If she does not check out on time, we will contact her, and you, to make sure everyone is safe.
- Our technicians may share their location and visit times with Beauty Bees during appointments for their safety, and may contact the police in an emergency.
- We may decline any booking, at our discretion.
4. Guests under 18
Clients under 18 need a parent or legal guardian to book, give consent, and stay present in the home for the whole appointment. Our technicians are never left alone with a minor.
5. Health, allergies and aftercare
- Tell us before your appointment about any allergies (including to acrylics, gels, adhesives or latex), skin or nail conditions, infections, fungus, open cuts, diabetes, pregnancy, medication or anything else that could affect your service.
- Your technician may refuse or change a service if it is not safe to do, for you or for her. A service refused because of a condition you did not tell us about is treated as a late cancellation.
- For lash and brow services, a patch test may be required, and reactions can still happen. Beauty treatments carry a small risk of irritation or allergic reaction; by booking you accept that risk for the products used with reasonable care.
- Follow the aftercare advice your technician gives you. We are not responsible for results affected by aftercare, daily wear, or conditions you did not tell us about.
6. Arriving, running late and not being home
- If we cannot reach you or get in within 15 minutes of the start time, the appointment is a no-show.
- If you are running late, we will do our best, but the appointment may need to be shortened so the next client is not kept waiting. The full price still applies.
- If your technician is running late, we will let you know as soon as we can.
7. Cancelling and changing
- Please cancel or change your appointment at least 24 hours before the start time.
- Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a fee, shown when you book, and may require a deposit for future bookings.
- We may need to reschedule because of illness, weather, road conditions or safety. If we cancel, you can choose a new time or get back anything you prepaid for that appointment.
8. Payment and tips
- Payment is due at the end of your appointment, unless it was paid when you booked.
- Card payments are handled securely by our payment processor. We never see or keep your full card number.
- Prices are before GST, which is added to your bill.
- Tips are not included and are up to you. They go to your technician.
9. If you are not happy
Tell us within 3 days of your appointment, with a photo. We will look at it and, where it is our workmanship, offer a fix at a time that suits us both. Refunds are at our discretion and are not given for services that were completed as booked.
10. Property and equipment
- We take reasonable care in your home. Please remove or protect anything precious from the work area; we are not responsible for stains or damage to items left in the work area, or for damage that happens without our fault.
- You are responsible for loss of or damage to our technician's tools, products and belongings caused by you, anyone present, or your pets.
11. Photos
With your permission, your technician may take photos of your nails, lashes or brows (never your face without asking) to show our work. You can say no or ask us to remove a photo at any time.
12. Gift cards
Beauty Bees gift cards never expire. They cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires.
13. Responsibility
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a service is limited to the price you paid for that service, and we are not responsible for indirect losses. You agree to cover claims, costs and losses that arise from unsafe conditions at your location, from conduct by you or anyone present, or from information you did not give us. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under British Columbia law that cannot be limited.
14. General
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. We may update them from time to time; the version on this page on the day you book applies to that booking. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
