Beauty Bees
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Beauty Bees is a mobile beauty service in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. Because we come to you, we need a little more information than a salon does. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email.
- Visit details: the address of your appointment, unit and access notes, and parking information.
- Booking history: the services you book, dates, prices, payments, tips, cancellations and no-shows.
- Health and care notes you give us: allergies, skin or nail conditions and anything else that affects your service. We only ask for what we need to keep you and our technician safe.
- Photos: only with your permission (see our Terms).
- Messages: texts, emails and chat messages you send us.
- Payment: card payments are processed by our payment processor. We see the card type and last four digits only; we never store full card numbers.
- Website: basic technical information such as your browser and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.
Why we use it
- To book, confirm, remind you about and carry out your appointments, including sending your technician to the right address.
- To keep clients and technicians safe, including recording where and when our technicians are working.
- To take payments, issue receipts and keep business and tax records.
- To answer your questions and handle any concerns.
- To send offers or news, only if you agree. You can stop at any time by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in an email.
Who can see it
- Your technician sees your name, phone, visit address, access notes and the care notes for your appointment.
- Service providers that run our booking system, payments, texts and email handle your information on our behalf, only to provide those services, and must keep it secure. Some of them may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.
- When the law requires it, or in an emergency to protect someone's safety, we may share information with the police or authorities.
- We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your client record while you book with us, and for up to 2 years after your last visit, then delete or anonymise it. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires. Records of a safety incident may be kept longer.
Keeping it safe
Your information is stored in secure systems with limited access. Technicians only see what they need for their own appointments.
Your choices
- You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it (we may need to keep some records the law requires).
- You can withdraw consent for marketing or photos at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
